Flatpak's process ID namespace separation does not prevent a sandboxed app's kill(0, signal) or killpg(0, signal) calls from reaching processes outside the sandbox that share the same process group. A malicious or compromised Flatpak app can use this to cause denial of service by terminating processes outside its sandbox, such as the desktop shell.

A path traversal vulnerability in Flatpak's handling of the files/etc directory during app deployment allows a malicious Flatpak app to cause certain host system files (such as passwd, group, machine-id, or resolv.conf) to be emptied or replaced with a symlink when the app is installed or upgraded. Mailspring is a fast, cross-platform, open-source email client. Prior to 1.17.0, attachment quick preview converts Markdown, DOCX, and XLSX attachments with Snarkdown, Mammoth, and SheetJS and inserts the resulting HTML into the preview document through innerHTML without sanitization. A remote sender can craft a supported attachment whose converted HTML executes script when a recipient opens quick preview. The preview renderer has no direct Node or Electron access, but injected script can reach the IPC surface exposed to the quick-preview renderer. This issue alone provides script execution in the preview renderer; separate path-traversal and renderer-controlled file-write vulnerabilities are required for the documented persistent code-execution chain. This issue is fixed in version 1.17.0.

Apache Karaf's instance-management service (InstanceServiceImpl) builds the command line used to launch a child Karaf JVM by string concatenation, then executes it through /bin/sh (Unix) or cscript (Windows). The caller-supplied javaOpts value is spliced into that string unquoted. A javaOpts value containing shell metacharacters (;, |, `, $(...)) is interpreted by the shell instead of being passed to the JVM as an option, giving arbitrary OS command execution as the Karaf process user. Reachable via the shell commands instance:create, instance:start, instance:restart, instance:change-opts, and the equivalent InstanceMBean JMX operations (createInstance, startInstance, changeJavaOpts, cloneInstance). Mitigation  * Set karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles=admin in etc/system.properties to close the fail-open gap for all unconfigured command scopes. * Restrict which principals can reach instance:* commands and InstancesMBean via etc/users.properties role assignments. * Treat javaOpts passed to instance:create/instance:start/instance:change-opts/InstancesMBean as untrusted input only from fully-trusted operators.

Improper link resolution in the migration receive path in Canonical LXD versions 4.0 and later (fixed in 4.0.14, 5.0.10, 5.21.8 and 6.10) on Linux allows an authenticated client that can create instances or custom storage volumes in a project, or a malicious migration source server, to write attacker-controlled files to arbitrary paths on the target host as root, leading to full host compromise. The attacker does this with a crafted rsync or btrfs send stream that plants a symlink in the transferred volume, such as rootfs or root.img, and then writes through it.

Deserialization of Untrusted Data in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause deserialization of attacker-controlled bytes, because the XML-RPC endpoint accepts vendor extension types that are deserialized during request parsing, before authentication. The servlet is mapped unconditionally, so parsing occurs even when the global XML-RPC feature is set to disabled; no non-default configuration is required for this path. This can lead to remote code execution. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Roller 6.1.6 or later, which disables the extension types and rejects requests when the XML-RPC feature is disabled.

Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an attacker who captures a valid WSSE digest authentication header to replay it and gain the victim's AtomPub authority, because the authentication does not enforce nonce uniqueness or timestamp freshness. Only installations that enable the non-default AtomPub API with WSSE authentication and plaintext-compatible password storage are affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Roller 6.1.6 or later, which removes WSSE as an AtomPub authentication method; existing installations configured for WSSE fail closed until an administrator explicitly selects a supported authentication method.

Incorrect Authorization in the OAuth 1.0a authorization endpoint of Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker who learns an outstanding request token for a configured site-wide consumer to bind that token to an arbitrary user account, including an administrator, by submitting an unsigned authorization request. The endpoint derives the authorizing identity from a request-supplied value rather than the authenticated session. Only installations that configure an OAuth 1.0a site-wide consumer are affected, and exploitation requires knowledge of one of its outstanding request tokens. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Roller 6.1.6 or later, which binds authorization to the logged-in session.

Missing Authorization in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an authenticated user to read, modify, or delete weblog content belonging to other weblogs through the legacy XML-RPC Blogger and MetaWeblog APIs, because the handlers authenticate the caller but do not verify the caller's permission on the weblog or entry actually affected. Only installations that enable the non-default global XML-RPC setting are affected; the per-weblog API flag defaults to enabled for UI-created weblogs. TREK is a collaborative travel planner. Prior to 3.3.0, getSharedTripData in server/src/services/shareService.ts returns days, assignments, dayNotes, and places through GET /api/shared/:token even when the trip owner disables share_map. The client hides the map, but the public JSON response still includes the itinerary and place names, coordinates, addresses, descriptions, notes, and prices. Anyone holding the valid share token can therefore read location and route information that the owner explicitly chose not to share, although the random token remains required and the flaw does not permit modification. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0.

FreePBX is an open source IP PBX. Prior to version 17.0.9, authenticated users who are authorized to access the GraphQL api module interface of FreePBX are able to execute arbitrary shell commands. Authenticated access to the api module is required. The PBX API module's documentation generator accepts an authenticated host parameter and uses it to build a shell command. The code path validates the generated OAuth access token before execution, but it does not validate or escape host. Compromise results in authenticated arbitrary shell command execution as the FreePBX web/PBX service user (typically asterisk.). This issue has been patched in version 17.0.9.

Unintended Proxy or Intermediary ('Confused Deputy') (CWE-441) in Kibana Agent Builder can lead to privilege escalation. A non-administrative user able to edit a shared agent could cause privileged operations to be carried out under the identity of a higher-privileged user who subsequently interacts with that agent. Where the same user can also author workflows, this can extend to full administrative control of Kibana and of the Elasticsearch cluster.

DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Prior to version 0.22.6, setting `readonly = true` on the `execute_sql` tool does not make the connection read-only. The connectors are written to set PostgreSQL `default_transaction_read_only=on` (and open SQLite in `readOnly` mode), but that code is gated on a config value that is never populated, so it never runs. The only thing left enforcing read-only is a classifier that inspects the first keyword of each statement. Any `SELECT` that writes or has side effects through a function call passes it. With an ordinary role this allows sequence tampering; with a privileged role it allows writing arbitrary files on the server (`lo_export`), reading arbitrary host files (`pg_read_file`), and remote code execution (`dblink` + `COPY ... TO PROGRAM`). The HTTP transport is unauthenticated and binds to `0.0.0.0` by default, so this is reachable by any network caller of `/mcp`. Version 0.22.6 patches the issue.

Rsdoctor is a build analyzer tailored for projects built with Rspack. Prior to version 1.5.16, the default Rsdoctor report HTTP server started by `@rsdoctor/rspack-plugin` binds to all network interfaces (`0.0.0.0`) and serves a `POST /api/data/key` endpoint with no authentication and wildcard CORS (`Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *`). Any network-adjacent or remote attacker can send a single unauthenticated request to retrieve the full source code of all compiled JavaScript modules (`moduleCodeMap`), serialized build configuration (`configs`), error details, and other sensitive build metadata. This server is enabled by default in non-CI environments, requiring no special configuration from the victim developer. Version 1.5.16 patches the issue.

http4s-scala-xml provides `EntityDecoder[F, scala.xml.Elem]` instances that parse XML message bodies. Prior to versions 0.24.1 and 1.0.0-M39, these decoders used a `javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory` obtained from `SAXParserFactory.newInstance` without any security configuration. With the JDK's default settings, the parser resolves DOCTYPE declarations, external general and parameter entities, and external DTDs.An application that uses these decoders to parse untrusted XML is vulnerable to XML External Entity (XXE) attacks. An attacker can craft a request that discloses local files readable by the service process, performs server-side request forgery (SSRF) against internal network resources, and/or causes denial of service through entity expansion. Versions 0.24.1 and 1.0.0-M39 fix the issue.

The EmbedVideo Extension is a MediaWiki extension which adds a parser function called #ev and various parser tags for embedding video clips from various video sharing services. Prior to 4.1.0, with $wgEmbedVideoRequireConsent disabled (not the default), the urls for videos are passed into an iframe src attribute without sanitization. When given a malformed url or id, the src attribute can be escaped via double quotes, allowing for html/javascript injection. Version 4.1.0 contains a patch.

Authentication with a known username is required. The vulnerability is rooted in the options and save_options cases in the Superfecta module's AJAX handler. The code dynamically includes PHP files from the sources/ directory based on user-supplied input. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code when combined with arbitrary directory creation (e.g., via the backup module) and file uploads that reveal full paths (e.g., via the soundlang module). This issue has been patched in versions 16.0.40 and 17.0.7.

FreePBX is an open source IP PBX. Prior to versions 16.0.72 and 17.0.7, a critical vulnerability exists in the FreePBX backup Module that allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code on the server. Authentication with a known username that has sufficient access permissions and/or write access to backup files is required. This vulnerability is caused by improper path sanitization in the backup restore functionality, enabling attackers to upload malicious PHP files to the web root directory. This issue has been patched in versions 16.0.72 and 17.0.7.

Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. Prior to 0.90.1, an authenticated workspace member who does not belong to a private space can call the transclusion / sync-block lookup API with a known sourcePageId and transclusionId pair because the lookup does not enforce private space membership before resolving the source page. The API can return confidential sync-block content and source page metadata even though the normal page APIs deny access to the same page. This issue is fixed in version 0.90.1.

Krayin CRM through 2.2.6 contains a stored client-side template injection vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in other users' browsers by injecting Vue.js template expressions into the product name field. pbkdf2 through 3.1.6 re-hashes passwords longer than the digest's block size on every iteration in its JavaScript fallback (lib/sync.js). A password longer than the block size (64 bytes, or 128 bytes for sha384 and sha512) is passed to HMAC as the key on every iteration, and HMAC hashes such keys in full each time. Cost is therefore O(iterations × password length), and a long password can block the event loop. The fallback is used by pbkdf2Sync and pbkdf2 on Node.js before 0.12, on Bun (1.0.0 through 1.1.34, and 1.2.6 and later), and on Deno 2.9.0 and later, because their native pbkdf2Sync fails the library's feature check. It is also used when lib/sync.js is imported directly. Node.js 0.12 and later, and browser builds (which use lib/sync-browser.js), are not affected. Applications that enforce a reasonable maximum password length are not meaningfully affected.

An authenticated LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.3.0 user allowed to create surveys can use their own survey as an authorized context while supplying question or answer identifiers belonging to another user's survey. The REST survey-patching endpoint checks the attacker's permission against the survey ID in the request URL, but the vulnerable persistence operations resolve the target object independently by its global qid or aid and never verify that it belongs to that authorized survey.
